What LifeOS accesses

When you connect Google Workspace, LifeOS requests only gmail.readonly and calendar.events.readonly. These permissions let LifeOS read Gmail messages and Google Calendar event information. LifeOS cannot send, modify, or delete email and cannot create, modify, or delete calendar events.

How the data is used

LifeOS uses the data solely to provide its user-facing features: detecting commitments and decisions, showing source evidence, generating a private attention list, and preparing a daily brief. Google user data is not used for advertising, credit decisions, surveillance, or training general-purpose AI models. We do not sell Google user data or derived personal data.

Storage and protection

OAuth credentials are encrypted at rest and held behind private service boundaries. Application access is invitation-only and protected by identity-aware access controls. Derived records are owner-scoped. LifeOS minimizes copied source content and uses bounded excerpts and source references where possible.

Retention and deletion

Rolling provider signals, evidence, and attention history are retained for up to 90 days unless a shorter operational period applies. LifeOS automatically generates and saves daily Briefs, and retains Briefs and Today tasks until complete account deletion; disconnecting or deleting a connection does not silently remove those records. You can disconnect Google Workspace to stop future access, and LifeOS provides controls to delete the remaining connection-derived data. OAuth credentials are deleted after provider-side subscriptions are safely revoked. Email hello@mattvs.co to request complete deletion of your LifeOS account and all owner-scoped application data, including Briefs and tasks. Complete deletion is performed through a tested operator procedure that first stops provider access and then removes all owner-scoped records. Service backups and security logs may persist for a limited period required for recovery and abuse prevention.

Sharing

We share data only with infrastructure providers needed to operate LifeOS, when you direct us to, or when legally required. We do not permit service providers to use Google user data for their own advertising or unrelated purposes.

Google API Services

LifeOS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

You may revoke LifeOS in your Google Account permissions, disconnect the source in LifeOS, request deletion, or ask for a copy or correction of your stored personal data.
